Cinema Epoch is thrilled to announce that the next two twisted chapters of the ultimate culinary cult horror franchise are officially making their physical media debut. Human Hibachi 2 and Human Hibachi 3: The Last Supper, directed by award-winning indie horror filmmaker Mario Cerrito, are officially coming to Blu-ray and DVD. Physical collectors and extreme horror aficionados will soon be able to bring the madness home, as both titles will be available majorly at retail giants Walmart and Barnes & Noble.
Following the massive streaming success of the franchise—including Human Hibachi 2 crossing over half a million views on Tubi—fans have been clamoring for high-quality physical releases to add to their shelves. Cinema Epoch is answering that call with pristine disc releases packed with the raw, boundary-pushing terror that has defined the series.
“We’re thrilled to bring HUMAN HIBACHI 2 and HUMAN HIBACHI 3 to Blu-ray and DVD,” says Gregory Hatanaka, President of Cinema Epoch. “The series has developed an incredibly dedicated audience, and Mario Cerrito continues to bring his own uncompromising and distinctive vision to the HUMAN HIBACHI horror franchise. We’re excited to give fans the opportunity to own these films and experience the next chapters of Mario’s uniquely intense world.”
The franchise, which turns the concept of a secret cannibalistic hibachi restaurant into an unforgettable found-footage experience, has cemented its status as a modern cult classic. The physical releases ensure that Cerrito’s unfiltered vision is preserved forever on disc.
Horror critics and dedicated fans alike are already celebrating the arrival of the physical releases:
- “Human Hibachi, this series will seriously f** with your head ….and appetite! It has created its own genre of horror.”* — John Roisland, The Witching Hour Podcast
- “In the past, I have always seen found footage films as boring and predictable. Seeing the Human Hibachi franchise changed that view. The Human Hibachi Franchise is engaging and entertaining. The build ups to the gore and anticipation of what will happen next is well done with fun pay offs to the viewer. I have become a big fan of the Human Hibachi Franchise due to the consistency of quality story telling and gory enjoyment.” — Benjamin Ha’am, Fan
- “Human Hibachi has become a favorite of mine over the years. It is different, pushes boundaries and memorable.” — Chad Mullen, Fan
