In this week’s meme-worthy fashion news, Sarah Paulson bundled up for the cold in a designer coat with a zipper so comedically large even her partner, Holland Taylor, had to get a grip. On March 6, the longtime couple strutted through Paris Fashion Week in tailored jackets while attending the Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2023–2024 show.
Paulson’s outfit, designed by French fashion designer Nicolas Ghesquière, featured a mid-length tweed coat with exaggerated hardware, including a zipper the size of her face. Feeling playful, Taylor grabbed onto the zipper’s giant slider and gently tugged Paulson through the streets of Paris, transforming the “Ratched” star into a human purse for a few seconds.
“I go where she goes,” Paulson captioned a photo of Taylor tugging at her zipper on Instagram Stories. In a romantic post on her own IGS, Taylor shared a photo of Paulson in the car on the way to the event. “My view of Paris,” the “The Morning Show” star wrote.
Paulson’s tweed coat consisted of leather panels layered around her waist, black shoulder detailing, and a matching high-neck collar. Down the front of the piece, the design featured a substantial gold zipper with a massive slider at her throat, doubling as a necklace. At her waist, the jacket boasted black belt buckles woven through oversize metallic eyelets, which beautifully complemented the gold ring on her left hand.
The actor layered the coat over sheer tights in an intricate lace pattern. On her Instagram Stories, Paulson shared a closer peek at her Louis Vuitton Tilsitt handbag. The purse featured cowhide-leather trim and gold hardware embossed with the designer’s logo. Her hairstylist Jillian Halouska and makeup artist Tyron Machhausen completed the look with slicked-down bangs and a charming berry-pink lip.
In January, Paulson and Taylor made their first Fashion Week appearance in structured power suits. While neither star hit the runway, their coordinated looks were one of the highlights of the Fendi Couture fashion show.
