Benjamin Satterley, the wrestler better known as Pac, has died at 40. His death came just one day after he competed at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view in Chicago, making the news especially difficult for wrestling fans to process.
Benjamin Satterley, known to WWE fans as Adrian Neville or simply Neville, passes away
Satterley’s final reported match came at All Out on Saturday, where he challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship. Andrade won the bout. AEW has not provided details about the circumstances surrounding Satterley’s death, leaving fans reacting to the sudden loss while remembering a wrestler who remained active in the ring until the weekend.
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley started wrestling professionally in 2004 before building an international career across several promotions. AEW signed him in 2019, and the company credited him with multiple championships and memorable matches. His AEW résumé included an All-Atlantic Championship reign and two World Trios Championship victories.
WWE fans knew Satterley as Adrian Neville before he adopted the shorter Neville name. During his WWE run, he captured the NXT Championship and also the Cruiserweight Championship twice. His explosive aerial style also earned him the nickname “The Man that Gravity Forgot,” a fitting label for a performer whose signature corkscrew shooting star press became one of his defining moves.
The reaction from fans quickly filled social media with disbelief and grief. One fan wrote, “This seems so sudden? I cannot believe this. I’m so sad now,” while another called his death “truly heartbreaking” and remembered him as an innovative wrestler. Others pointed to his performance against Andrade just a day earlier, with one asking, “Wht happened?”
Tributes also focused on Satterley’s character outside the ring. Fans also sent condolences to his family, friends and the entire AEW locker room, calling Pac an exceptional performer. AEW similarly extended its condolences to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.
