House of the Dragon Returns to HBO Max Today With 2 Versions of Season 3 Premiere

HBO Max will release two versions of House of the Dragon Season 3’s premiere, following its broadcast return on HBO.

Beginning today at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the first episode of House of the Dragon Season 3 will be available to stream in American Sign Language (ASL) on HBO Max, alongside its regular version. ASL dubbers Landen Gonzales and Sophia Morales are working on the third season, with ASL director Justin Jackerson.

What do we know about House of the Dragon Season 3?

House of the Dragon chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens. The next installment continues the bloody civil war between The Greens and The Blacks, as both sides gather their own armies and allies. So far, the latest season has already garnered a 95% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 42 reviews.

Season 3 features the return of Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Daemon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent, Rhys Ifans as Otto, Steve Toussaint as Corlys, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Fabien Frankel as Criston Cole, Harry Collett as Jace, Tom Glynn-Carney as Aegon II, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond, Bethany Antonia as Baela, Phoebe Campbell as Rhaena, Phia Saban as Helaena, Tom Bennett as Ulf White, and Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne. Joining them in the new installment are Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy) as Ser Roderick Dustin, Dan Fogler (The Walking Dead) as Ser Torrhen Manderly, and James Norton (Little Women) as Ormund Hightower.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel, the Game of Thrones prequel is created by Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal. They are executive producing alongside Sara Hess, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Vince Gerardis, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett. Since its debut in 2022, the show has won two Emmy Awards out of 14 nominations, as well as one Golden Globe Award for Best Drama.
