The Wingfeather Saga Season 4 Sets Release Date, Cast Changes With RoboCop Lead

Angel revealed major updates for The Wingfeather Saga Season 4, including a familiar Hollywood voice joining the animated hit. The streaming platform announced a premiere date, new cast additions, and a first-look teaser for the beloved series’ return.

Angel’s hit animated series The Wingfeather Saga will return for its fourth season on October 21, 2026, according to a press release. The streaming platform revealed a new poster and first-look teaser alongside the premiere date. Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast) joins the voice cast as Esben Wingfeather.

Jim Broadbent also joins the cast as Bonifer Squoon, a role previously announced in February. Additional new cast members include Nadia Quinn as Madame Sidler, Sam Clark as Rudric, Noah Rafferty as Grigory, and Lin Gallagher as Olumphia.

Season 4 picks up as the Wingfeathers flee Gnag the Nameless and sail north to the Green Hollows. Kalmar’s Fangish appearance draws fear and suspicion from the local community. The children enter Guildling Hall, where Leeli studies Houndry and Kal, and Janner trains with the Durgan Guild. Rising distrust and unexpected conflicts threaten to tear the family apart.

The returning voice cast features Jodi Benson as Nia Wingfeather and Kevin McNally as Podo Helmer. Alkaio Thiele returns as Janner Wingfeather, while Henry Witcher voices Kalmar Wingfeather. Romy Fay reprises her role as Leeli Wingfeather, and David Oyelowo returns as General Timber. Henry Ian Cusick also returns as Artham Wingfeather. Matthew Rhys will reprise his role as Gammon in Season 5.

Based on Andrew Peterson’s bestselling novels, Season 4 adapts Book 3, The Monster in the Hollows. The series held the No. 1 spot on Angel’s streaming platform in 2025 and boasts a 97% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Angel greenlit Season 5 at Annecy International Animation Film Market in June, targeting a Fall 2027 debut.

Nashville-based Shining Isle Productions produces the series using a proprietary Unreal Engine animation pipeline. Angel distributes the show, with Lion Forge Entertainment handling international distribution.
