Beth Gibbons Performs “Glorybox” at Coachella 2025

Beth Gibbons, the Portishead vocalist and trip-hop pioneer, performed her Bristol band’s hit “Glory Box” at Coachella 2025 Saturday night. Watch the clip below.

Gibbons performed 10 songs at the Gobi Tent, most of them being from her debut solo album Lives Outgrown. Before closing her set with “Reaching Out,” Gibbons sang “Glory Box” in a wash of sapphire and turquoise lights, not unlike the album cover of the band’s genre-defining record Dummy.

Lives Outgrown was released in May 2024 via Domino. It was nominated for the Mercury Prize, alongside Charli XCX, Nia Archives, Corinne Bailey Rae, and that year’s winners in English Teacher. Portishead remain active mostly a handful of live shows over the years, and their most recent record Third, was released in 2008.

Gibbons has been touring across North America since March. After Coachella, Gibbons will perform a handful of dates across the US, Australia, the UK, and Europe through mid-July, including slots at Glastonbury, Down the Rabbit Hole, Way Out West, and more. Find tickets here.
