Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is unrecognizable in newly released photos from upcoming movie Lizard Music.
As seen in new pics, the 54-year-old actor traded his familiar bald look and muscular build for gray hair, wrinkles, age spots, and a scruffy ol’ beard.
Filming the fantasy adventure in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday, his appearance is a dramatic departure from the action-hero roles we’re used to seeing him in. And yet, this new look has a charm all its own!

The Rock’s character is known as the Chicken Man — an inneresting 70-something man who carries around a chicken named Claudia.
Based on the 1970s children’s novel, the story of Lizard Music begins when a young boy, played by Theo Clark Leber, encounters a mysterious television broadcast featuring lizards playing music. Curious about the strange discovery, the boy begins investigating and eventually meets the Chicken Man.
Sounds wild and whimsical, that’s for sure!
Directed by Benny Safdie, the film is scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2027.
