Featuring music legends including Billy Idol, The Police, DEVO, Duran Duran, Oingo Boingo, and more, this MGM+ 4-part doc series charts how New Wave transformed the musical landscape and brought alternative culture into the mainstream. Telling the fascinating story of New Wave music and the decade starting from 1977 to 1987 that brought alternative culture fully into the mainstream. Made by This Machine Filmworks, New Wave takes viewers on a journey from the genre’s rebellious beginnings to its lasting influence on music, fashion and pop culture.
