Many Sister Wives fans vividly recall the season when Kody attended a wedding in the middle of the pandemic. Despite rebuking his own children, he found it entirely appropriate to officiate the wedding and completely take over the dance floor afterward.
In a confessional, Christine Brown admitted she lost all respect for Kody around this point. He refused to be with Ysabel during her spine surgery, citing the pandemic. But he had no problem at all running around at a maskless wedding. If Kody couldn’t make the situation about himself, he simply wasn’t interested.
This scene was bad enough, but it wouldn’t surprise many to realize Kody has always been like this. It’s obvious to everyone that the family patriarch absolutely craves attention. That’s why one Redditor’s recent discovery wasn’t all that shocking.
Viewers Cringe Over The Family Patriarch’s Obsessive Need For Attention
In a Reddit thread, one fan shared they found old yearbook photos on Ancestry.com.
“Guess who,” the Sister Wives viewer shared on Reddit, attaching a photo from Kody Brown’s high school days. Eleven young athletes pose for the camera in an old newspaper clipping. Some smile, while some choose solemn expressions.
And then there is Kody Brown, who makes an obnoxious face for the camera. He’s a child in the photo, but fans couldn’t help but realize he’s never truly outgrown this stage.
The photo didn’t at all phase other Sister Wives viewers, who have sadly become accustomed to antics like these over the course of 19 seasons. They wrote:
- “Oh, the jackass making a face for attention? Yeah… typical. Lol”
- “One episode showed an old high school friend of Kody’s and they asked him if he expected him to start this polygamist family. He said, yeah, Kody always liked being the center of attention.”
- “The tool making a stupid, focus pulling face? He stopped emotionally maturing at this age, clearly!”
- “Someone needs to study his constant need for attention. It’s really incredible. I have never seen anything like it.”
