Pizza Boy – A Horror Short Film: Now on Kickstarter to Raise Post-Production Funds: “Pizza Boy is a psychological horror short about a cook whose routine night begins to fracture into something much darker. What starts as another closing shift order slowly becomes a confrontation with trauma, memory, and something far more sinister. This is not a story about monsters. It’s a story about what people carry with them.
Pizza Boy is an independent horror short filmed on location in New York City. The visual style is grounded and gritty, influenced by Good Time and It Follows, building a world that grows more saturated and unstable as the story unravels.
The horror here is intimate. Uncomfortable. Real. It comes from the atmosphere, performance, and psychological pressure. The film runs 10–12 minutes and is currently in post-production.”
The Vision: “This film is about emotional isolation, memory, and how trauma distorts reality. The horror lives in subtle shifts. We want the audience to feel trapped inside the protagonist’s experience as the world slowly stops making sense. If you want horror that stays with you after the credits, this film is for you.”
Why This Matters: “Independent films only exist because people decide they should. Every contribution brings a small, personal story into the world. Supporting Pizza Boy means backing independent filmmaking. New voices telling real stories without studio interference. If you’ve ever worked a late shift, chased something creative, or tried to turn something stressful into art, then you already understand why this film exists.”
From The Director: “Pizza Boy started with a simple question: What if an ordinary closing shift became something psychologically inescapable? For me, ideas like this usually come when I’m doing things that make me feel most like myself — writing, creating, or making music with the people closest to me. If you really know me, this isn’t a surprise. But if you don’t now you officially do. This is a film built on limited resources and genuine obsession, so thank you for helping us finish it. And to think this is only the first one :)”

highly acclaimed 2001 masterpiece. Presented for the first time in a beautifully curated 4K UHD Collector’s Edition box set, and also available digitally from 13 April, THE DEVIL’S BACKBONE stands as a haunting and deeply emotional work of modern horror from one of cinema’s most distinctive visionary voices. Widely regarded as one of del Toro’s finest achievements — and a spiritual companion piece to his later classic PAN’S LABYRINTH — the film showcases his unparalleled talent for blending the supernatural with historical trauma, transforming ghost stories into powerful meditations on memory, innocence, and violence. Synopsis – As General Franco’s fascists close in on victory during the final days of the Spanish Civil War, 12-year-old Carlos arrives at a remote orphanage for children of left-wing families. Soon after arriving, Carlos discovers the orphanage is haunted by Santi, a dead boy who stalks the building’s dark hallways and seeks revenge for his tragic death…
