Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Winner Could Set Up Major Chaos This Week

Not to overhype this week’s veto, but let’s overhype this veto.

With two of the three icons on the block—and two hidden powers suddenly more consequential than ever—this quickly became one of the most important veto competitions of Big Brother Season 28.

So, who won this oh-so-important veto?

Yash won the power of veto!

Heading into the big competition, the biggest storyline was Dee, who found herself in danger for the first time in the game, and she didn’t exactly handle it well.

Dee attempted to bribe Head of Household Yash with her BB Bribe power in an effort to keep herself off the block, but Yash wasn’t having it and didn’t fall for the bait.

Fortunately for Dee, she had a backup plan, since Deven’s Diamond Power of Veto is still in play.

The two spent most of Friday and the early hours of Saturday morning scheming about who could go up if Dee lost the veto and Devens used his power. And the answer may surprise you.

Who Could Be a DPOV Victim?

The veto players were Yash, Angela, Dee, Haley, Melody, and Barrett, which meant it was pretty much Yash on an island, since he’s not truly aligned with any of those houseguests right now.

Those kinds of veto competitions often seem like a slam dunk for the houseguests with the numbers advantage, but as we all know, Big Brother is unpredictable and the veto competitions even more so.

A comp beast could very well lose to someone who isn’t perceived as strong if a competition happens to cater to that player’s skill set.

But even with Yash winning, and likely keeping noms the same or taking Haley off to replace her with Barrett, the real thing to look out for over the next two days is whether Devens is serious about using the Diamond Power of Veto on Dee.

The communication and relationship between Dee and Kamu has broken down to the point that he is pushing for her to be the target this week, and Dee wants Devens to nominate Kamu if he pulls her down.

Kamu’s a huge threat in this game, but he’s a much bigger threat to Dee than he is to Devens right now, and making a move that big will completely out Devens to Yash and Kamu, whom he has a separate alliance with.

Everyone outside of Yash, Taylor, and Lala probably wouldn’t care too much if Kamu found himself on the block.

Still, he would put all his business on front street by yelling that he and Dee are a solid duo, because using a veto of that magnitude on anyone but himself shows your hand.

The only person Devens could nominate without as much blowback would be Lala, since they aren’t aligned, but Rick Devens is always looking for a big TV moment, and that wouldn’t be as explosive as a Kamu backdoor.

Expect Some Fireworks This Week

Since the tea party massacre that helped seal Jason’s fate, there haven’t been any more exposé parties, but something is definitely brewing right now!

Dee has already told Devens she wants to call Kamu out, while Kamu lamented to Taylor Saturday morning that he’d be more than willing to hold a second tea party to call out Dee after hearing from Haley that Dee was talking about him.

Things in the house have been stressful for a bit now, but these two big players with even bigger personalities going scorched earth could really change the trajectory of the season.

Look, the icons needed to feel the heat a bit, especially the Survivor players, who have had every advantage in this game so far.

And a little humble pie can do a Big Brother player some good.

No matter who you’re rooting for, the game is a lot better when the playing field is leveled a bit, and flushing out that power, regardless of what happens next, is a good way to reset the game.

And let’s keep it real: it’s going to bring absolute chaos, which is at the center of all things Big Brother.

What do you think Yash will do with the veto?

How do you foresee this week going?

Should Devens use the Diamond Power of Veto?

Let’s keep the conversation going — it’s the only way the good stuff survives.

Say something in the comments, share if you’re moved to, and keep reading. Independent voices need readers like you.
